Want to write about waste today. The most irresponsible waste is a waste of ideas, time, inability to introduce people to others who will really help out and a waste of resources (food, energy, water, software, hardware, AI, and everything else that is capable of generating opportunities for people). Visible resources are what is seen-they lead to direct problems like:
  1. Solid waste itself-takes up a lot of land.
  2. Air pollution - toxic fumes and gases
  3. Water Pollution - presence of heavy metals, organic compounds, oils and polymer products present in water.
  4. Acidification of water ruining the sea and marine life.
  5. Inhuman conditions in slum areas leading to large scale social unrest.
To reduce waste people must ensure that:
  1. Nothing is wasted-new or relevant uses for everything must be found.
  2. The area occupied (by the waste) must be minimal- compacting of solid waste is a an answer.
  3. Wet and dry waste must be separated.
  4. There should not be unnecessary combustion.
  5. More public education has to be ensured to spread the word.
  6. Polluters pay must be enforced and there must be total accountability for the taxes paid by ordinary citizens.
  7. Credit is given to residents, workers and volunteers who are making a difference on the ground.
  8. Software must be used to simplify the task and do things faster.
Lastly no time must be wasted in doing these things-once a majority of people decides and buys into this there is no way pollution will not be reduced.

A firm that does Waste Management really well in my opinion is
